Parent & Caregiver Support Groups

DSAGSL offers group meetings for parents and caregivers who have a similar experiences so they can share and support one another, as well as receive specialized support resources from DSAGSL and other area agencies. Groups that currently meet are:

Black Family Network – Contact for more information

Alzheimer’s & Dementia Group for caregivers of individuals with Down syndrome experiencing memory loss – 2nd Thursday of the month from 9:30-11am at the DSAGSL Office – Zoom also available!

DSAGSL has workshops throughout the year on various topics such as IEP basics, Potty Training & Behavior, Puberty & Sexuality, Planning for the Future, and more.  If you have an idea for a workshop topic, please reach out to!

Community Groups

Community Groups provide information, resources and emotional support to each of the families connected within the group. They are based on location, age, relationship to person with Down syndrome, culture and/or native language and run independently of each other.

Ages & Stages Resource Program

As a member of DSAGSL, you’ll receive age appropriate resources & books in preparation for your child’s next stage in life.  Books about potty training and health related changes. SOS Email Newsletter
