Early Childhood Programs

This is a critical stage in the development of children with Down syndrome who may need extra therapies and interventions.  These programs are aimed at providing access to information and resources, networking with other families that have children in similar developmental stages, as well as meeting the needs of our community.

Small Steps Therapy Program

Activities include music time with Midwest Music Therapy, therapeutic play with Special Olympics Young Athletes program, and more!  This program is for children with Down syndrome ages 3-8 years old. Spots are limited and registration is required. 

The Spring Session of Small Steps is free to families at all 3 locations!

1st Wednesday from 5:30-7:00pm | Jan, March, May | Collinsville Activity Center in Collinsville, IL

2nd Thursday from 5:30-7:00pm | Jan – May | Cape Girardeau Public Library in Cape Girardeau, MO

3rd Thursday from 5:30-7:00pm | Jan – May | DSAGSL Office in Brentwood, MO

 

Let's Play Monthly Meetups

Once Each Month on Saturday Afternoons

This community group is for littles around ages 2-12 years old and their families.  They meet every month at a different location throughout Missouri and Illinois.  Meetup locations include parks, splash pads, museums, the zoo, the movies, or even a pumpkin patch!  Follow the Let’s Play Group on Facebook to learn about upcoming events!
