Run for 21
DO SOMETHING EXTRA - 3.21 MILES - FOR DOWN SYNDROME
In honor of the third copy of the twenty-first chromosome, the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis invites you to run a 5k (plus a little extra!) with us on June 2nd, 2019. The Run for 21 (formerly Relay and Run for 21) celebrates the amazing lives of people with Down syndrome. The race was moved to June to coincide with our largest celebration of the year – Step Up for Down Syndrome. All proceeds will benefit the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis and DADS Community Outreach Fund.
The event includes a 3.21 mile certified race through beautiful forest park and ends at the DSAGSL’s largest celebration of the year Step Up for Down Syndrome (SUDS). Race amenities include a race shirt, finisher medal, and one wrist band for entry into SUDS. We encourage runners to start a SUDS Team and raise additional funds beyond their race registration to earn more wristbands and SUDS t-shirts for family and friends.
Relay and Run for 21 was started by the amazing Marvin Family nine years ago. Thank you so much to the Marvin Family and Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome (DADS St. Louis) for their tireless efforts to make the Relay and Run for 21 an amazing event. The DSAGSL is honored to host this run and continue to see it raise awareness for Down syndrome!
