Meet Ally: Our Newest Program Intern!

Hi! My name is Ally, and I am the new Programs Intern for the summer! I will be starting my senior year at Missouri Baptist University this coming fall. I am a Behavioral Science major and also a college softball player.
Working at DSAGSL has already been a great experience. The staff here is fun and very welcoming. They are all dedicated to the mission of enriching the lives of those with Down Syndrome. During the short time I have been here I have helped with numerous different projects like, STEP-UP, Birdies and Bass Golf Scramble, and Pop-up-Snack-Shop. It is so rewarding to see how these events and activities the organization host benefits those with Down Syndrome and their families.
Through this internship, I hope to learn more about what it is like working for a non-profit. My future plans are to work with individuals with disabilities in some form. Having an internship at DSAGSL has made me feel like I am working for a greater good, and I am glad I get to have a small part in helping others.
When I am not working at DSAGSL I enjoy playing softball, reading, kayaking, and discovering new coffee shops to hang out in!
