DSAGSL has many different types of events! The biggest event of the year is the annual Step Up for Down Syndrome, a support walk, fundraiser, and family fun day. Start a team & fundraise in honor of loved one, and then come out and enjoy the activities in June at Forest Park! Step Up has a lot to offer including the ever popular Bubble Bus, rock climbing wall, giant slides, snow cones, train rides, and more! Visit the Step Up Page to learn more, and visit our Facebook Photo Album to see pics from SUDS 2017.
Fundraising for Step Up for Down Syndrome doesn’t only make you feel good, it also earns you tickets to Walk in the Park! Each year the Cardinals host DSAGSL at Busch Stadium for an evening of awareness, community building, fun! Check out the Walk in the Park Page for more information about the 2017 game! Missed Step Up? No problem! You can purchase ticket packages to Walk in the Park which include t-shirt, walking the warning track, and baseball ticket.
October is an important month for DSAGSL because it’s Down Syndrome Awareness Month! To celebrate Down syndrome, as well as raise awareness in the community, DSAGSL hosts many events and activities in the month of October including DSAGSLTrivia Night, the Talent Show, the Scavenger Hunt, and DSAGSL Rocks! Performances. We will also be selling “We Love Someone With Down Syndrome” Support Signs you can display in your yard to raise awareness in your neighborhood, and partnering with local restaurants for a month of Dining out for Down Syndrome. We hope you’ll participate in Down Syndrome Awareness Month 2017 by coming to one of these events, eating at one of the participating restaurants, or displaying a support sign in your yard… Or maybe all three!!
Family-focused events and social events happen frequently throughout the year at DSAGSL including the Holiday Party, 21 Suns Abilities Awareness Event, Friends for All Seasons Family Picnic, and more! Check our Calendar for upcoming events and details!
DSAGSL is also so fortunate to have many amazing community partners that help orchestrate third-party events & fundraisers like Relay and Run for 21, Birdies & Bass Golf Tournament, and the Young Friends Board Volleyball Tournament.
