Ask Megan-Megan introduces Emily!

Megan took the opportunity to interview Emily, the new Marketing and Communications Manager at DSAGSL.  Also, see a short note from Emily below.

A Note from Emily…

It can be awkward to write things about yourself, so first let me talk about the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis.  In the seven days I have worked for this agency, I have been completely blown away by the amount of support and well wishes I’ve received from staff, board members, and families.  This group really knows what a sense of community or “family” really means, and I am grateful to join the team.

I’ll be working really hard to keep up with all of our agency’s Marketing and Communications needs including brand management, website, media relations, printed communication, e-communications and social media.  This field is my passion.  I received a Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia with an emphasis in Strategic Communication, so I will ALWAYS be a Tiger fan!

In my free time, I enjoy reading (Harry Potter, Hunger Games), working out, and spending time with my family and friends.  I’ve lived in the St. Louis area my whole life, except for my college years, and I love the Blues and Cardinals!

Lastly, I look forward to all that lies ahead with our events, strategic plan, meeting everyone and whatever else comes our way.  If you are by the office, stop in and say hello.  Enjoy your holidays and happy New Year!
